MegaTrust Investments is an employee-owned, boutique China fund manager specializing in A-shares (domestic Chinese stocks). The firm was founded in Shanghai, China in October 2007 and launched its first fund - the Yangtze Fund II - in April 2008. The firm uses bottom-up research to pick stocks, with a focus on company quality and corporate governance.

MegaTrust Investments consists of two entities owned by the same group of shareholders:

  • Shanghai MegaTrust Investment Management Co. Ltd. (上海世诚投资管理有限公司) in mainland China. This is regulated by the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) and where the majority of the investment team are based.
  • MTI Management (HK) Limited – trading as “Megatrust Investment (HK)” is a corporation licensed by the SFC to conduct Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities, targeting Professional Investors only.
